If you remember back to one of our posts four days before Christmas, you’ll have noticed that we alluded to the possibility of an extremely exciting makeitgood x FatKidOnFire feature. Seeing as we’ve reached 25 makeitgood x FKOF features, we thought we’d drop something a bit special for you guys. Big up everyone who’s supported us since we started and here’s to another 25!
For those of you not in the know, David Rodigan is arguably one of the UK’s finest reggae selectors, having featured on Capital FM for over a decade and who can now be found on Kiss FM. The Rodigan family is as close as you get to being music royalty without physically getting into bed with the Queen. Jamie Rodigan has clearly inherited his father’s amazing selector skills and when my boy El Stubertos off Myspace gave me the link, I had to get Jamie down for the interview and exclusive mix. A quick interview is followed by a truly amazing mix. Get it after the jump.
We first caught the next guest Dj/ producer through our old friends Black Milk. Nathan “OPT1k” Spooner produced a sensational mix and we’ve kept tabs on him since we first heard it in August. When we crossed paths again recently, we got him down for this next makeitgood x FatKidOnFire interview and mix. OPT1K’s mix is an awesome blend of all sub-genres of dubstep and we think he’s got serious skills…

We’re all about celebrating home grown talent here at FatKidOnFire. This applies to clothing brands or Djs or producers. The next makeitgood x FKOF feature and exclusive mix is from a young Dj who’s got some mad decent skills spinning vinyl (as his mix shows) and who is starting to cut his teeth in the production game. Given time, Bristol’s Jestah will be a force to be reckoned with. You heard it here first…
It’s New Year’s Eve and like our last makeitgood x FatKidOnFire mix that we posted on Christmas eve, the beer goggles have yet to fully descend so we’re able drop the newest exclusive interview and mix.
For those of you who are fans of FKOF on Facebook, you’ll have already heard of the next interviewee. We first found KANEDUBSTEP through his truly amazing remix of Professor Green’s latest dubstep-inspired single, ‘Monster’. We got in contact to see if he’d fancy doing an interview and a mix and luckily for us (and you guys) he was down. Peep the interview below and the stupendously amazing mix Sam’s done us.
